Job Description
|
A Senior Developer in the Fund Accounting Technology Group at SAC liaises with the Tax, Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting and Operations teams to design and build strategic solutions for a wide range of business problems. The Geneva accounting system is at the core of these solutions. A set of components built on the .Net framework facilitate integration with the rest of the Back Office platform. This individual will assist with the expansion of the existing platform as well as future development, particularly in the Tax space.
Specific responsibilities include:
-Building out the Tax platform to improve efficiency in a complex process spanning multiple business groups
-Working with end users to design new processes and customize Geneva to meet specific needs defined by Accounting and Operations staff
-Translating business specifications to complete technical specifications including time and resource estimations
-Designing and building software leveraging Geneva, Java and .Net platforms
-Understanding the entire back office technology infrastructure and what role fund accounting technology plays in the domain

Requirements
|
-Minimum of 3+ years hands-on experience of developing reports and functionality for the Advent Geneva platform or a similar portfolio accounting system required
-Experience with a variety of financial instruments, products and services required
-Programming experience with SQL and either C# or Java required
-Superior communication, presentation and analytical skills required
-Experience working with Tax and Financial Reporting requirements a plus
-Programming experience with Geneva RSL a plus
-Management or Team Lead experience a plus
-A multidisciplinary skill set that includes work in technology, finance and accounting
-Strong problem identification and analytical skills
-Education: B.S. degree required in accounting, computer science, finance or related discipline
