Job Description
|
A Daily Fund Accounting Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Daily reconciliation of assigned accounts, including equity accounts, futures accounts, equity swap accounts and treasury accounts on a T+1 basis.
Investigation and resolution of differences between Geneva and SAC PrimeBrokers and clearing counterparties.
Timely and accurate recording of non-trade related income and expenses in Geneva.
Daily interaction with other Operations departments, the Controller’s team and the Fund Administration team to investigate and resolve trade and P&L discrepancies
Participating in month end close process, insuring that Geneva is accurate for month end reporting
Assisting in the performance of special projects requested by Management
Candidates will be required to take ownership and accountability over their work product and should have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. In addition, the candidate should be able to take direction.

In addition the candidate we choose will: Have strong problem solving skills; - Excellent analytical skills; - Sound professional judgment; - Strong time management skill; - Ability to work independently as well as on a team; - Attention to detail, thorough and organized - a must; - Trustworthy with sensitive information; - Comfortable giving constructive feedback to Management; - Proficiency in Excel and MS Office Suite. - Some knowledge of Bloomberg, Corporate Actions and financial products helpful.
Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline
