The Market Data Finance team is focused on operational support for market data and research services throughout the firm. The distribution of services connects this group to our front office (via Business Analysts) and accounting departments. Portfolio Managers, Traders and Analysts, the largest population of users, rely on an extensive and varied supply of superior research and market data in order to maintain a competitive position within the industry. It is the goal of this group to advance the firm’s position by both ensuring that the operational deliverables are met as well as advancing ideas for cost savings.
The Vendor Specialist, reporting to head of Market Data Finance, is part of a team of market data/vendor specialists responsible for providing day-to-day administrative support in the management of the firm’s market data and research spend. In this role, the Vendor Specialist is responsible for invoice processing, reconciliation and resolving vendor billing discrepancies. The Vendor Specialist processes service changes with vendors (add/remove/change) as requested by Business Analysts. Further, the Vendor Specialist is responsible for ensuring the inventory of market data services within FITS is accurately maintained.
• Administer invoices for all Market Data related vendors
• Work with vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and timely receipt of credits
• Maintain inventory in FITS
• Work closely with the Business Analysts
• Support monthly close processes
• Assist with ensuring compliance with vendor usage policy
• Vendor reporting and reconciliation (DADs)
• Exchange reporting and cost allocation
• Assist with cost saving initiatives
• Assist with budgets
• Ad hoc reporting
• Special projects
